It’s Internet Official: No One Likes Iron Fist In Netflix’s “The Defenders”

Oh Danny. Oh, Danny, Danny, Danny.

Netflix has spent the last two years building up its very own, small-screen version of The Avengers: The Defenders.

Great idea, right?!

Unfortunately, following the success of their Marvel shows Daredevil, Jessica Jones and (for the most part) Luke Cage, the streaming giant took a massive, high profile ‘L’ with Iron Fist, which was hammered by critics and took an absolute drubbing on Twitter for the ‘whitewashed’ casting of Finn Jones in the title role.

Nonetheless, Netflix persevered and joined all four of their forces for The Defenders, which dropped to the excitement of many on Friday.

Problem is, Iron Fist (aka Danny Rand) didn’t become any less annoying, entitled or smug between seasons. And the internet has not been afraid to tell Netflix that there is one, glaring issue with their new program.

The show itself attempted to respond to the criticism of Iron Fist with a scene in which Luke Cage calls Danny out for his white privilege.

Meanwhile, on the set of the next Avengers.
