It’s Happening! "How I Met Your Mother" Returns to Netflix Australia in November

This is going to be legend-wait for it…

Back in 2019 when How I Met Your Mother left Netflix it broke hearts everywhere (and forced us all to get a Stan account).

Now, just as we’ve recovered from the pain of this loss, Netflix has done a full 180 and decided to bring it back in Australia on 28 November.

How I Met Your Mother (or HIMYM as fans know it) is the emotional and funny Friends-like sitcom that aired on CBS in America between 2005 and 2014. If you somehow missed it then, and didn’t catch it in the years since, oh boy you’re in for an emotional ride.

Starring Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders, Alyson Hannigan, Jason Segal and Josh Radnor, HIMYM is one of the highest rated comedy series of all time, and its popularity seems to be everlasting.

All the legendary seasons and every episode will be back on the streaming service for you to binge, so no, you won’t miss out on that controversial ending.

How I Met Your Mother is leaving Netflix in AU and NZ on March 24th. That leaves plenty of time for a rewatch, but if you had to recommend one must-see episode, which would you choose?

Originally the show left the Australian Netflix in 2019 because the contract between Fox and Netflix got canned and took a bunch of other beloved shows with it.

The streaming service announced the show's return on their socials this morning with much love from all the fans.

So, if you don’t want to get the blitz I’d suggest joining the rest of the world in binging it once again come late November.

Aaand now I have "Lets Go To The Mall" stuck in my head.

… dary! Legendary!

Update 27/11/20: This article has been updated to reflect that all nine seasons of HIMYM will now land on Aussie Netflix on 28 November.
