“Round the Twist” Is Coming to Netflix in May, So Get Ready for Some Nightmare Fuel

My brain thought this show was a fever dream.

Netflix have treated Aussie viewers to another gem this week by announcing that Round the Twist is officially making it’s way to the streaming service next month.

Due to land on Saturday, 1 May Netflix is bringing back the nostalgia with all 4 Seasons of the iconic show.

Yes, that’s right, it includes the two OG seasons from 1990 to 1993 and then the reboot seasons from 2000 to 2001.

I might be too young to remember but I could barely tell the difference between the two, ‘cos they were both so cooked.

They announced the addition in a sneaky social media post, hidden between a bunch of other newbies due to drop on the service in May.

Previously, old fans would have to scavenge for old episodes on YouTube, but now they can watch all eps in the one place without the hassle of ads or laggy buffering.

If you haven’t seen the original show, be warned: you’re in for a wild ride.

Round the Twist is based on books by Paul Jennings, which followed the story of three seemingly normal Aussie kids and their widowed dad as they grow up in a lighthouse (of all things) in the fictional town of Port Niranda.

While the show appears to be made for kids and teens, when it first aired it copped a lot of flack for being “too rude” or “outrageous” ‘cos it had some pretty bonkers storylines.

Although it was clearly satire and designed for a younger audience, it still touched on some pretty heavy themes including incest, coprophagia, and bestiality.

No spoilers but watch out for "The Big Burp" episode.

Because of its wildness, you were either a kid that loved the show or hated it, so now a new generation of young Aussies can decide if it’s worth all the hype.

If you don’t have the theme tune stuck in your head for all of next month, I’ll be shocked.
