Is Lady Gaga Really Calling Her Next Album “Adele”?

It’s definitely a joke… right?
Lady Gaga has been busy over the past couple of years. She provided us with countless tunes in A Star Is Born and began her Las Vegas Residency, which has recently been extended into 2020. Plus, last month she dropped her long-awaited makeup line, Haus Laboratories. Yeah, there’s a lot going on in her life.
However, being busy hasn’t stopped the pop icon from teasing the release of her sixth studio album.

The thing is, Gaga has been dropping hints about her upcoming album for a really long time. In August 2017, she told Entertainment Weekly that she was back in the studio writing. In April, DJ and producer Mark Ronson described the album as "incredible" during an Instagram live.
Since then, we’ve waited patiently for any official news about the album. We’d take absolutely anything at this point.
But then, Gaga tweeted this.
We’re not entirely sure how to feel. On one hand, anything Gaga says about #LG6 is exciting. But, would she really name her album after the British "Hello" singer? It wouldn’t be the weirdest thing she’s ever done, but we still don’t want to believe it.
So, let’s explore some other possibilities.
Gaga is trolling us all.
Lady Gaga is the Queen of random tweets. Seriously, back in August, she tweeted the letter “f” for no actual reason.
But Gaga and Adele go way back, so maybe this is all just a big inside joke. In January 2015, Gaga posted a selfie with Adele on Instagram, and the pair were reportedly spotted smoking together at Mark Ronson’s Grammys party earlier this year.
Have the singers teamed up to troll us all? Honestly, Gaga’s probably scrolling down her Twitter feed giggling and cooking spaghetti or something.
She’s hinting at a collab.
We can’t even imagine how powerful a collab between Gaga and Adele would be. They’re the absolute dream team. Fans are speculating that the tweet is suggesting the powerhouse vocalists will collaborate on Gaga’s upcoming album.
We are here for that.
The album is actually called "Adele".
Hopefully this isn’t the case, but anything is a possibility right now. Let’s not forget that Gaga named her last album, Joanne, after her father’s sister who died at age 19 due to complications arising from lupus. However, what would the personal connection to "Adele" be? Only time will tell, but Adele fans are not okay with it.
At this stage, no details on the release of #LG6 have been confirmed, but we’ll keep you updated.
