Is Kanye A Genius Or A Loudmouth (Or Both)?

The infamous Kanye West.

We all know him, don't bother denying it.

Actually, feel free to refuse to acknowledge his Holiness, but you better be prepared for whatever crazy stunt that the man himself will pull in retaliation; an action that will inevitably turn viral to the delight of our well-connected world.

Some of his latest stunts include (but are not limited to) begging Facebook's founder to relieve his debt and, of course, taking credit for Taylor Swift's success within the music industry.

The question remains, is Kanye just a narcissistic, loudmouthed idiot who thrives on stirring controversy, or is he pulling all the right strings in a calculated move for greater publicity for his new album, The Life Of Pablo?

Either way, Kanye has succeeded in keeping the limelight on himself as of late. He reminds me a lot of Miley Cyrus. Neither seem to be able to avoid being the centre of public scrutiny for longer than a few months.

Personally, I find it possible to believe that a person, celebrity or not, can be consistent in their scandals for the primary purpose of maintaining a level of fame that derives from notoriety.

The whole 'drama queen' facade has become an intrinsically large part of Kanye's brand name. Each feat he performs gains him significant exposure and, most likely, the big bucks.

More than criticise, however, people react. Kanye's antics have become an endless source of entertainment. His attitude and questionable remarks are without doubt loudmouthed and uncalled for, but perhaps they're also the workings of a smart man who knows how to keep the spotlight where it belongs: on himself.
