Will They Make A Third “Red Dog” Movie? “True Blue” Producer Nelson Woss Tells Us They Might

“I got a sneaking suspicion we might get a shot at doing it.”

It might be putting the cart before the horse—or should that be dog?—to ask Red Dog: True Blue producer Nelson Woss if he’ll make a third instalment, weeks before the second even hits cinemas.

However, when given the opportunity to sit down with Woss, ahead of True Blue’s release on Boxing Day, we just couldn’t resist.

Turns out he’d always intended for Red Dog to inspire Australia’s very own Three Colours trilogy.

“When we started the first Red Dog film, we always had the dream and the idea that it would be a trilogy,” he told Student Edge.

“We do have the idea for the final film, but it’s really gonna be based on how this second film goes; if there’s an audience and demand for it, I think they’ll probably wheel us out again."
