"I'm Just An Idiot": PewDiePie Apologises For Using an Offensive Slur

PewDiePie made headlines around the world for using an offensive slur during a live gaming stream.
Felix Kjellberg, the man behind famous YouTube channel PewDiePie, was recorded saying an offensive slur (we'll refer to it as the "n-word") on a live stream of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and received a barrage of backlash.
So, today, he apologised for his use of the word.
In the video, he explained that he was embarrassed in himself for not learning from his previous mistakes. "Being in the position I am, I should know better… and I owe it to my audience and myself to do better than this," Kjellberg said in the apology video.
Those mistakes he referred to included paying two people in India to hold up a sign that said "death to all Jews" and featuring Nazi imagery in some of his videos.
He also chose to tweet out a picture of white supremacists and neo-Nazis from the recent Charlottesville protest, which lead to further criticism due to his previous comments.

He later stated that he was going to stop making Nazi jokes because he realised there were actually still Nazis out there in the world. Go figure.
It remains unclear whether this apology will be enough to stop businesses and fans from boycotting him, but what does seem more clear is that PewDiePie still hasn't learned from his previous mistakes.
