How to Watch "Search Party" Season 4 in Australia

Your favourite hipster dark comedy is back.

Back in August, we were already desperately attempting to figure out when Search Party Season 4 would be released.

If you're not familiar with the devilishly satirical show, it follows a group of four privileged, self-absorbed twenty-somethings who unwittingly become involved in a death and are forced to cover it up.

The series stars Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development), John Reynolds (Stranger Things), Meredith Hagner (Younger), John Early (Bad Neighbours 2) and Brandon Michael Hall (God Friended Me).

Let's just say, if you haven't watched it yet, you seriously need to re-evaluate your priorities.

All three seasons of Search Party arrived on Stan in July. The first two seasons had previously landed on SBS on Demand in Australia before moving to Stan.

Of course, that meant a lot of viewers binge-watched the show over the course of one weekend (I'm totally not talking about myself here), and were left impatiently waiting for S4 to be released.

Well, it has now been confirmed that Search Party Season 4 will premiere on Stan on 14 January 2021.

Stop searching and start celebrating.
The brand new season of #SearchParty is coming January, exclusively to Stan.

It'll follow Dory (Shawkat), who is being held prisoner by her psychotic stalker Chip (Cole Escola). He's determined to make Dory believe that they are besties. Meanwhile, Portia (Hagner) is starring in a film about the trial, although not as herself.

On top of that, Elliott (Early) has switched party lines to become a far-right conservative talk show host, and Drew (Reynolds) is trying to escape his past by working as a costumed cast member in a theme park.

The friends begin to connect the dots that Dory might not be touring Europe as her faked social media posts suggest, so they must decide whether or not they should search for her.

Season 4 will also add some new faces to the cast. Be prepared to see Oscar winner Susan Sarandon (Thelma and Louise), Busy Philipps (Busy Tonight) and even Emmy winner Ann Dowd (The Handmaid's Tale).

There's no word as to whether Shalita Grant, who portrayed Dory's lawyer, will be returning for S4. We're keeping our fingers crossed that she is, considering she was an absolute scene-stealer.

At this stage, no trailer for Season 4 has been released, but we'll keep you updated.
