How to Watch "McMillions" In Australia

One of the year's most buzzed-about documentary series is finally arriving in Australia.

Need a new true crime doco series to fill the Tiger King-shaped cavern in your heart? Looking for one that’ll give you a craving for chicken nuggs while you watch?

You won’t believe how in luck you are.

Binge has announced it’ll be the streaming home for HBO’s six-part doco series McMillions (or McMillion$) here in Australia.

The show premiered in America earlier this year and earned an 89 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes from critics. It also dominated online conversations until, ahem, that whole coronavirus thing happened.

Why? The series explores the true story of a criminal mastermind by the name of "Uncle Jerry" who managed to defraud McDonald’s Monopoly game to the tune of $US24 million over 12 years… until the FBI caught wind of the scam, and set up a sting operation.

Interestingly, back in 2018, Ben Affleck was set to direct a film based on this story called McScam, starring his professional life partner Matt Damon. Affleck said he’s still developing the script as recently as February.

In the meantime, you can start watching McMillions on Binge from Sunday 28 June. All six eps will be available to watch at once.
