How to Watch BTS Perform "Dynamite" on "Fortnite"

Can anyone else hear screaming in the distance?

In one of the least expected collaborations I’ve ever heard of, massive Korean pop band BTS is debuting their new music video for "Dynamite" in Fortnite.

Announced by Epic Games (Fortnite's developer) yesterday, the new song and video will premiere on Fortnite’s Party Royale Island, a violence free zone specifically designed for watching movies and music, and is set to be a choreography video.

Coming to the game on 25 September at 8am AWST (8pm ET), the video release will be joined by two new emotes that have also been choreographed by the band.

If you’ve somehow been living under a rock and aren’t sure who BTS is, they’re arguably the biggest boy band in the world since The Beatles, with fans absolutely wild with support and obsession.

Dynamite has been played repeatedly on radios all over the world recently, but here’s the song in case you missed it.

This isn’t the first time musicians have hosted events on Fortnite. BTS are walking in the footsteps of Travis Scott, Marshmello, Diplo and Young Thug. This is a big deal, however, because the BTS fandom stans everything the band does, so it’s sure to draw a crowd.

Fortnite fans aren’t as keen

With the announcement of the collaboration sure to bring a whole host of new players to the game, it may, hilariously, also be the cause for some to leave.

Opinions are very mixed but from the looks of things, those who want it are really excited and those who don’t may need a tissue for those tears.

How to watch the performance?

If you’re new to Fortnite you may be wondering what Party Royale Island is and how to get there.

First of all you’ll need to download the game on whatever you prefer to play on: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation or Xbox. Once you’ve set up your account you’ll want to select Party Royal Mode and you’ll be loaded into the queue for the Island.

It might be helpful to arrive early just in case traffic is high, and lets be honest, with BTS playing, it’s going to be packed.

Once you’re in, use your in game map to direct you to the mainstage on the east side and get ready for the show!
