How to Watch "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm" in Australia

It'll be very nice!

It has been (*checks notes*) a whole 14 years since Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat shocked the world, causing everyone to shout "great success" 24/7.

If you can't quite remember what the mockumentary comedy film was about (or you haven't seen it from some inexcusable reason), it followed Borat Sagdiyev (Cohen), a popular reporter from Kazakhstan who went to the United States to film a documentary on what makes America a great nation.

Basically, he offends a lot of people along the way and wants to make Baywatch's Pamela Anderson, ahem, his wife.

For those who have watched it, the image of Borat in his lime green mankini probably lives rent-free in your mind (even though you'd rather forget it).

So, if you couldn't wait to see Cohen reprise the character once again, it's time to prepare the popcorn 'cos Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is now on Amazon Prime Video in Australia.

That means if you have subscribed to the streaming service, your Friday night viewing is officially sorted. Otherwise, you could sign up for an Amazon Prime trial.

Considering it's also being released in the U.S. on 23 October, Aussie audiences can avoid seeing too many spoilers.

This time around, Borat quarantines in the U.S. and attempts to give his daughter as a gift to someone "close to the throne", which judging by the trailer, is Republican VIce President Mike Pence.

We fully expect the Borat sequel to be highly controversial, and a scene from the movie involving former New York City mayor and current attorney to President Donald Trump, Rudy Guiuliani, has already caused some drama online.
