How to Play the All-Star Teams in “NBA 2K18”

We know you’re excited to see the LeBron/Steph showdown.
Before reading another word of this article, hit play on the “Official Song for the NBA All-Star Weekend 2018”, aka, Migos’ “Stir Fry”. (Language warning, obvs.)
Now, onto business.
On 18 Feb (technically 19 Feb in Australia), the 67th NBA All-Star Game goes down at Staples Center in Los Angeles, with two teams captained by—and drafted—by LeBron James and Steph Curry.
Instead of the teams being evenly divided by East and West Conference players, James (of the East’s Cleveland Cavaliers) and Curry (of the West’s Golden State Warriors) had the freedom to pick All-Stars from both sides of the fence.
The line-ups—and opportunities for drama—are rich, with frenemies Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook sharing a team for the second All-Star game since Durant was infamously drafted away from OKC to GSW. James also snagged his former colleague Kyrie Irving, who bolted to Boston earlier this season. Meanwhile: Who let Kevin Love in?
But with the game still a fortnight away, punters are no doubt keen to see how they roll together.,
Your best bet is NBA 2K18, which is offering you the chance to play both James’ and Curry’s Frankensteined teams.

Here’s how to make it happen:
1. Update!
Yes, it’s annoying and it takes forever, but make sure you’re running the most up-to-date version of the game to get all the necessary Network features.
2. Go to ‘MyTEAM’
2K18’s Week 19 Challenges are a “special All-Star edition”, allowing you to beat the respective Eastern and Western teams with your own motley crew of random players.
3. Select ‘Weekly Challenges’

You’ll immediately get a crack at LeBron’s East, but you’ll need to beat them before advancing to—and unlocking—the West. Keep in mind: This is a “Pro” difficulty challenge. You’ll need to use your best cards for this battle. (If you move quickly, you might still find ‘Team LeBron’ and ‘Team Steph’ under ‘Moments Challenges’, but these are set to expire on Feb 1.)

Unfortunately, as far as this week's challenge is concerned, if you want to play as the All-Star line-ups, you’ll need to draft the relevant players via MyTeam and put them to battle. You can even throw Aussie pie-mascot Ben Simmons in, just for fun.
But move quickly. Who knows what the Week 20 Challenges will be?
