How to Order the "Travis Scott Meal" at McDonald’s in Australia

If you noticed a sudden shift in our shared reality today, it’s all because of an "unprecedented collaborative partnership across food, fashion, and community efforts" that just went live.

The two partners: McDonald’s and Travis Scott.

After a week of teasing, Macca’s unveiled the Travis Scott Meal, via an ad in which a tiny Trav gives us a tour of his signature order "since back in Houston". The ad ends with the big reveal that you can order the Travis Scott Meal for just $USD6, making this the first time a celebrity has made it onto the Golden Arches menu since Michael Jordan in 1992.

The new meal is accompanied by official Travis Scott merch and a charitable component (which is yet to be articulated).

Just one problem: You can’t get the meal in Australia. (But we have a hack for that, so read on.)

Visit any of the Australian social media platforms for McDonald’s, and you’ll find no mention of this Cactus Jack/Macca's meeting of the minds, which is, of course, personally insulting to us as a nation that voted "Sicko Mode" to the top three of the 2018 Hottest 100. So, don't expect him to make any surprise drop-ins at your local Macca's.

We contacted McDonald’s Australia to find out if the Travis Scott Meal will ever reach our shores, or if it too is a victim of our post-COVID national borders. A representative told us there are "no current plans for this to be in Australia."

Here’s the good news though: you can actually just order all the elements of the Travis Scott Meal separately, since, um, there’s no toy or anything else to distinguish it besides the ad.

So, next time you drive through a McDonald’s restaurant, simply order the following while blaring Astroworld:

A Quarter Pounder with lettuce, pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard, cheese and bacon
Medium fries with a side of BBQ dipping sauce
A medium Sprite

We literally put it together on the mymacca’s app just now. Unfortunately, here it came to $AUD14.80, which is significantly more than the $USD6 price point (which converts to about $AUD8.30).
