How to Change Your Facebook Feed Back to The Old Look ‘Cos This New One Sucks

C’mon Facebook, that was kinda rude.
One of the most annoying things Facebook does to us every few years is changing the look of our desktop newsfeed just as we’ve gotten used to its predecessor.
Facebook has described their latest version as "a Fresh, Simpler Facebook.com" (ahem, sure).
This update is… interesting looking to say the least, so if you’d rather go back to the old look instead of staring at a mobile page blown out to desktop size, we’ve got your back.
Initially, when Facebook first made the switch, they added a feature to their pull-down arrow on the right side of the page that said "Switch to Classic Facebook", allowing users to go back and forth. But that feature is now gone, forcing users to endure the social media platforms nasty new look.

But fear no more, there is an option out there, and even better, it’s free!
The service you will want to Google is called 'Old Layout'. It’s essentially a Chrome extension that reverts your Facebook feed to an older version, but it is also available on FireFox and Opera browsers.
Old Layout will set your browsers' user agent to report as an old version of Internet Explorer that isn’t supported by Facebook anymore, which will force it to display the old layout, essentially tricking Facebook into thinking you’re using an old browser.

While this is a great way to get the old version of Facebook back, it’s not completely foolproof. It is only a temporary fix as eventually Facebook could change their settings to prevent the extension from working.
Some features you once loved may also be missing. While you can see the page in its old display you will not be able to access any features that Facebook have permanently deleted.
If you’re not keen on this because you’re unsure about its security, maybe try to get your hands on a desktop with a really old version of Internet Explorer (It’s time to borrow your grandparents' old box computer).
Before you leave the new look of Facebook, make sure to give your feedback in the pull-down arrow so that Facebook won’t do us so dirty next time. The more people’s feedback they have, the better it will look, so get reviewing.
Either way, Facebook will probably change the whole look all over again in a few years so if you’re stuck with the new one, don’t get too used to it.
