How to Beat Every Boss on “Cuphead”, the Most Addictive (and Hardest) Game Going

The whole internet loves Cuphead, a game where the characters have cups for heads.

Have your feeds been inundated with exasperated, inexplicable cries of "CUPHEAADDDDDD!" lately?

There’s a good reason: Late last month, independent developers Studio MDHR dropped an impossibly tricky and addictive, 1930s-influenced game to Steam titled Cuphead (aka ‘Don’t Deal With the Devil’).

And everyone has lost their minds over it.

First teased to audiences at expos in 2014, Studio MDHR’s debut title is only available on Microsoft Windows and Xbox One at the moment, with potential Mac and Linux releases coming in the future.

In just two weeks, Cuphead has received more than 9,600 reviews on Steam—almost all of them glowing—indicating an “Overwhelmingly Positive” consensus. By comparison, the most popular game on Steam, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, is “Mixed” (admittedly, from more than 220,000 reviews).

As of this writing, Cuphead is sitting just outside of the Top 25 Games “By Current Players” on Steam, with more than 3,174,000 hours played in the past 30 days.

But if you were ranking Steam titles by fan art, tribute videos and general mania, Cuphead would be number one with a bullet.

However, it’s not all fun and games. Plenty of players are complaining about the extreme difficulty of the bosses. Thankfully, the experts at Hold to Reset have managed to defeat every. single. one.
