Here Are Seven Apps That’ll Help You Nail Your Final Exams

Cancel your upcoming all-nighter.
This post is presented in partnership with Boost Mobile.
Let's face it: studying can be super boring. There's nothing worse than being up all night burying your face in a textbook, or spending hours rewriting your study notes because they're barely legible. If only there was a way to make studying more engaging, right?
Well, this is where your mobile phone comes in. Not to scroll through your Insta feed, but to help you study. While some educators believe students shouldn't be able to use their phones on campus, your mobile can actually bring you another step closer to crushing your final exams.

So, let’s check out seven apps that will help you navigate your #studentlife. Don’t worry, if you aren’t allowed to use your phone on campus, you can totally check these out after school hours too. (Plus, all of these apps are available to download for free on both iOS and Android.)
myHomework Student Planner
What is the first thing you think about when you are starting exam prep? A study planner. You need to plan out assignment deadlines, plot your extra-curricular activities, and map out time to study for each exam. myHomework Student Planner lets you create a schedule, track your homework and classes, providing you with those study essentials.

StudyBlue
Sometimes, study sessions are the only bearable part of exam prep. Sure, revising isn’t too fun, but suffering with your friends totally is. However, if your schedules don’t match up, that can be a problem. Luckily, StudyBlue allows you to upload class study materials, create electronic flashcards and share them with others.
You gotta help each other out!

RefMe
There’s absolutely nothing worse than getting to the end of an assignment and having to spend another two hours completing your bibliography. Fortunately, RefMe can save you a whole lot of time. All you have to do is use your phone’s camera to scan your textbook’s barcode, and it will create a citation in your chosen referencing style.
Ta-da!

Aura
The pressure of assignments and exams can be super overwhelming, so it’s important to have an app that helps you calm down and stay positive. Aura is a meditation app that relieves stress and anxiety with a three-minute guided meditation session every day. Additionally, Aura allows you to track your mood changes, so you can recognise patterns in your mood fluctuations.

ThinkUp Positive Affirmations
If meditation is not your thing, that’s okay. You can get your motivational fix from ThinkUp, which allows users to add inspirational music and reduce negative self-talk by selecting positive affirmations. The free version of the app allows you to record up to three affirmations.

RescueTIme
One of the hardest things about #studentlife is managing your time and reducing distractions. It can be hard to settle down and study when your phone is constantly flashing with notifications. Fortunately, RescueTime tracks the number of times you pick up your device, and sends you alerts when you’re using your phone too much.

Quizlet Flashcards & Learning
Do you like creating study flashcards? If so, Quizlet is the app for you. It allows you to create your own flashcards or choose from millions created by other students. If you’re getting together with friends, it’s a great way to test each other’s knowledge on a particular topic. Once exams are over, you can also use Quizlet to learn a new language.
So, at least there’s something to look forward to.

Hopefully, these apps will mean you can cancel your upcoming all-nighter. Go forth and study effectively.
