Aussie Harry Styles Fans, Prepare Yourself – 'Love On Tour' is GOLDEN

Sweat, tears, and I’m still not okay.
The last time I saw Harry Styles was ten years ago on the ‘Take Me Home’ tour with One Direction.
I’ve never shied away from the fact I was an obsessed Directioner, with posters of the band covering my walls from top to bottom, the birthdates of all bandmates memorised… it was a simpler time.
I feel old.

I always followed Harry’s solo career closely and fell in love with every new release, as the world watched him grow and find his own style (no pun intended) in both his music and his fashion choices. Now, Harry Styles is 3-time Grammy winner and actor who is now taking ‘Love on Tour’ throughout Australia.
I didn’t get to see him for ‘Live on Tour’ in 2018 - don't @ me. We all make mistakes, and one of mine was not getting to see him earlier.
Last night’s first Aussie show of Love on Tour really proved how much of a fantastic showman he has become, and I couldn’t help but just feel so proud to see him absolutely shine.

Before I even get to attempt to articulate how truly uplifting and fabulous the show was, I have to give a shoutout all the fans who were absolutely dressed to impressed on such a bloody hot night - it was such a vibe.
There’s somewhat of a fun expectation to go all-out and give major Harry Styles energy – from sequins and glitter, to tassels and so many feather boas (shoutout to the staff at HBF Park who had to pick up all the multicoloured feathers that covered the venue).
i can’t believe i forgot to post my fit with my beautiful babies from yesterday 😭 these girls are absolutely everything my heart! 💓🍒✨🪩🦋 #auslot #HSLOTPerth #hslotoutfits @shesogolden0 @kikalateef_ @itsemilychong @timeunbind pic.twitter.com/8erB1lNakw

I will admit I joined this trend and treated myself to a new fit for the show – a bright blue suit that was super out of my comfort zone – a purchase only made possible by the inspiration of Harry’s flamboyant fashion taste.
For many of us attending the tour, this isn’t just a show – it is the moment.
Not long before Harry’s arrival on stage, One Direction’s Best Song Ever played and the crowd instantly started singing along – it was like no time had passed at all, and everyone was back in their 1D era.
The show felt like one massive party. The vibes for the night were set, opening with Music for a Sushi Restaurant, and Harry making his entrance in flared blue pants and a fitted top.

While the show was big with almost 30,000 fans, accompanied with an insanely talented band surrounded by several big screens and huge lights, the show still felt really intimate – the stardom and success has definitely not gone to Harry’s head.
After his first few songs, he commented on how much of a ‘scorcher’ it was, and checked in to see how everyone was feeling. Harry’s banter and connection with the crowd had everyone swooning as he would often give a gentle wave during his songs to lucky fans standing in front of him.

He took a bit of time in the middle of the show to read people’s signs and chat with a couple of fans. Throughout the show, he thanked everyone for taking the time to come see him, and for the support he has received over the years.
The fan interaction didn’t stop as he borrowed someone’s feather boa at one point, and took around the stage a pride flag from the audience during Treat People With Kindness.

It'd be a crime if I didn’t make mention of the fact that he sang One Direction’s biggest hit What Makes You Beautiful – the crowd went wild, and I simply couldn't deal. This moment has been on repeat in my brain, and 14-year-old me is screaming and crying.
There was one song performed that was unexpected – Harry belted out Darryl Braithwaite’s Horses, which of course everyone loved and sang along to. Even Daz said the performance was ‘moving’, so I’m not biased here when I say it was a highlight from the show. You could tell that Harry was stoked to perform it, and exclaimed that he could ‘feel the Aussie coursing through his veins’.

The energy throughout ‘Love On Tour’ is guaranteed to keep you on your feet all night. While he doesn’t forget his roots, Harry Styles' talent and showmanship as a solo artist proves he was born to perform on stage.
Fans - make sure you wear something comfortable (I have blisters, RIP), stay hydrated, save for some of that sweet merch and remember - treat people with kindness.
You won't be disappointed.
