Harrison Ford Nearly Died On “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”

Never tell him the odds.

The production firm behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens has admitted in court that star Harrison Ford could have died on set.

(That seems like it would have been a big deal.)

According to The Guardian, Foodles Production has pleaded guilty to two breaches under health and safety legislation, following an incident in which Ford was crushed by a hydraulic door on the Millennium Falcon.

When it happened in June of 2014, it was reported that Ford had broken his left leg. New details – including a description of Ford being “hit hard in the pelvis and pinned to the floor” – indicate the actual severity of the injury.

The prosecutor, Andrew Marshall, didn’t mince words: “It could have killed somebody. The fact that it didn’t was because an emergency stop was activated.”

Thankfully, Ford survived (even if… spoiler alert… Han Solo didn’t). Just a few months after shooting, however, he was in a small plane crash in Los Angeles.

Is it time for Ford to consider the fact he is living out some Final Destination scenario?

Either way: The man is invincible.
