Han Solo is the "Distracted Boyfriend" in "Star Wars" Cosplay at Comic Con

It’s been a tough year for Han.

Solo, his Star Wars spin-off, weathered months of controversy only to disappoint at the box office.

And now, he’s been reduced to the role of “distracted boyfriend” in a Star Wars-themed restaging of 2017’s most omnipresent meme.

Over the weekend, at San Diego Comic Con, three cosplayers (jujukitty2323, griffincostumes and socalcostumes on Insta) dressed as Han, Princess Leia and Qi’ra to re-enact the stock photo of a scrub checking out another woman while walking hand-in-hand with his GF.

Clever as it may be, it’s not quite the picture-perfect rendition of the original meme as you’d hope.

For instance, Han isn’t whistling like the original "distracted boyfriend" (real name "Mario", never forget), but rather looks like he has severe indigestion. And—not to nit-pick—Leia should technically be out of focus, rather than the doomed couple behind her.

Still, A+ for reviving a meme we thought we exhausted last August.
