Guzman y Gomez Is Going Drive-Thru Across Australia

Guzman y Gomez, purveyor of guac, is working to eradicate the final barrier between you and its burritos: the burden of having to leave your car.
According to The Australian, GYG is looking to expand massively over the next 12 months. That expansion includes the establishment of up to a dozen drive-through outlets across the country.
The expansion is being overseen by a few former McDonald’s bigwigs, flush with that Big Mac cash.
The Aussie-founded GYG has already set up drive-through stores at Nerang in Queensland, as well as in Darwin.
“Our kitchens are built for it; we just needed to put in a separate window. Imagine what we could do if this is set up properly,” chief executive Steven Marks told The Australian.
The Mexican taqueria turns over more than $AUD150 million a year. Being profitable has allowed it to commit to free range chicken and 100 per cent sow stall-free pork, nationwide. It’s also on track to use 100 per cent grass-fed beef by 2017.
Next, it’s looking to open up a few more stores in Singapore, as well as break into the United States.
All of this is to say, we will not be running out of quesadillas anytime soon.
