Batman Is Real: Guinness World Records Rewards Dude For Making Proper Batsuit

We’re so used to Batman being sad and mopey that we’ve forgotten the very core of his character: “Hey, Batman has a lot of cool toys!”
Julian Checkley, a model-maker and art-director in Galway, Ireland, has not forgotten, and decided to get in on the fun by making a real, working Batsuit for himself.
As a result, he’s been awarded the Guinness World Records title of Most Functional Gadgets in a Cosplay Suit, Mashable reports.
The outfit comes with a video screen in the arm, a grapple gun, an ultra-sonic anti-dog device, a bat-tracking device (with Bluetooth!) and a gas dispenser (which, okay, sounds legit dangerous).
“You flip your wrist up and it just jets out this big jet of CO2 gas,” he explained. “It could be poisonous gas; it could be anything.”
There’s also a “fireball shooter”. Okay, now we’re actually concerned.
All in all, there are 23 items on his Batsuit, which has rightfully earned him a place in the Guinness World Records: Gamer’s Edition 2017, due out next month.
Watch him show off the outfit below, and be glad he seems friendly, because you wouldn’t want those “ball-bearing grenades” in just anyone’s hands.
Of course, to us, there'll only ever be one true Batman.
