Greta Thunberg Gloriously Roasts Donald Trump As He Leaves White House

Don’t mess with Gret.

Well, it’s official. Overnight we watched Donald Trump leave the White House and Joe Biden be sworn in as the 46th US President.

Trump’s departure was a wild ride to say the least. He refused to attend Biden's inauguration and became the first US president to be impeached twice, in the last few days of his presidency. So, it's safe to say it has been a rough week for the former president.

As Trump left the White House yesterday, a pic was snapped of him walking across the lawn and entering the Marine One helicopter with former First Lady Melania Trump as they began their return to Florida.

While the whole world thought that was the end of it, climate and environmental activist (and expert troller) Greta Thunberg decided there was still some time left to roast Trump.

Attached to the photo snapped of Trump boarding his helicopter, Greta posted a tweet where she paraphrased Trump’s words right back at him: "He seems like a very happy old man looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!"

The now viral tweet has racked up a staggering 400,000+ retweets, 1.8 million likes and over 41,000 comments.

If you're not super farmiliar with Greta, she's basically the world's biggest and youngest climate activist. She started the school strike for climate marches that spread all across the globe, has spoken with world leaders and the UN about the climate crisis and was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts.

The quote Greta is paraphrasing goes all the way back to the 2019 UN Climate Action Summit, where she performed a speech in which she passionately told world leaders that their efforts on climate change were not good enough.

"You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words. And yet I'm one of the lucky ones," she said.

"People are suffering, people are dying, entire ecosystems are collapsing.

"We are in the beginning of a mass extinction, and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!"

Following this, Trump decided to ignore everything Greta had to say and the importance of her message, and instead sarcastically mocked her by tweeting how much of a "happy young girl" she is, despite her clear grief in the video.

"She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!" He tweeted.

Obviously, we can’t show you the exact tweet that Trump posted at the time because his account has since been permanently canned by Twitter.

Initially, Greta seemed to just ignore the dig from Trump only to quietly change her bio in a sneaky response just a few days later.

Now—as the world’s most patient roaster—Greta clapped back at Trump on the last day of his presidency.

What makes this even more spicy is that Trump can’t even respond, thanks to Twitter yeeting him from their platform.

Of course, Greta is a master at this, so this is not her first rodeo. Back in November last year, Trump posted an angry tweet publicly claiming that voter fraud had been occurring during the US election and that the whole thing was rigged.

Greta quickly responded by telling the president that he "must work on his anger management problem", throwing back the exact same dig that he threw at her almost a year earlier when she was announced as Time’s Person of the Year.

All we can say is that it’s probably not a good idea to get on Greta’s bad side, 'cos she’s defs got receipts.
