Greens Senator Who Breastfed in Parliament Shames a Breastfeed Shamer on Twitter

Just this week, Greens Senator Larissa Waters made headlines for being the first woman to breastfeed while passing a motion in the Senate.

Last month, she became the first to even breastfeed in parliament. So, it doesn’t really come as a surprise that she would seriously clapback at any critics.

On Twitter, she posted what looks to be a text message from a serious hater.

(Caution: The Tweet includes some offensive language.)

Thankfully, there was a league of people eager to back her up.

Waters previously said she was proud her daughter Alia was the first baby to be breastfed in parliament.

"We need to work towards flexible, family-friendly workplaces and affordable child care for all working parents," she wrote on SBS back in May.

"Women have always worked and reared children, whether that work was paid in the workplace or unpaid in the home."

She finished on an important note.

"I look forward to the day when all women have equality at work and feeding your child does not make headlines."
