"Gossip Girl" Star Ed Westwick Accused of Rape by Female Actor

Trigger Warning: This article discusses sexual assault.

Katrina Cohen has accused Gossip Girl and White Gold actor Ed Westwick of raping her back in 2014 after she visited his house with her boyfriend at the time, Australian producer Kaine Harling.

Cohen has since filed a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department, which has opened up an investigation into Westwick's alleged actions.

Cohen alleges that she was woken up by Westwick assaulting here. "I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could, but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to f*** me," she wrote. "I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me."

Westwick posted on Twitter denying the allegations.

Cohen explained that she came forward with her experience because she's frustrated with men who sexually assault and intimidate women and then "continue through the world collecting accolades" with no repercussions.

Cohen's story is just another to come out in the past two months since the allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein opened the floodgates for women and men who had felt willed into silence by their powerful perpetrators and their legal and PR teams.
