A Google Search for "Idiot" Produces Pictures of Donald Trump, Thanks to a British Prank

But what happens when you 'Bing' it?
The Brits have found a way to keep trolling last week’s houseguest, President Donald Trump, gaming the Google system to have his images pop up when users search the word "idiot".
The success of their digital prank can be tied to their campaign to send Green Day’s "American Idiot" to the top of the charts ahead of his London visit.
Though the tune didn’t make it all the way to number one, it nonetheless enjoyed a massive sales boost, 14 years after its original release.
Still, all those articles the initiative inspired—all using keywords like "Trump" and "American Idiot" in close proximity—have resulted in a more lasting condemnation.
Now, when you conduct a Google search for "idiot", the Images page produces a full page of Donald Trump, excluding, in this writer’s experience, a couple pics of Kanye West, the Trump boys, and a stock photo of a man drilling his own head. Esteemed company, indeed.

(Yes, we’re fully aware that continued articles about "Trump" and "American Idiot" will just keep skewing the algorithm.)
As Newsweek points out, Google has refused in the past to intervene when their search algorithm produces results that may be offensive to certain people. But Donald Trump is usually pretty chill about criticism, right?
