Giant Bunny Dies in Cargo Hold as United Airlines Continues to be the World’s Most Hated Airline

A potential world record-breaking rabbit has sadly died on a United Airlines flight.
The truly devastating news comes at a pretty crappy time for United, who have faced a ton of PR blowbacks this year already. A dead bunny does not help.
The ten-month-old bunny was held in cargo on the trip from London to Chicago, but sadly, didn’t arrive alive when it touched down in Chicago’s O’Hare airport.
The rabbit’s owner told The Sun that Simon, who was “as fit as a fiddle” before the flight, measured 3ft (about 0.9m). He was set to take over the record set by his dad, Darius, of being the world’s largest bunny. His dad’s record, of 4ft 4in (about 1.32m), will now remain.

United’s probably very-stressed PR team has released a statement about the death.
“We were saddened to hear this news. The safety and well being of all the animals that travel with us is of the utmost importance to United Airlines and our PetSafe team. We have been in contact with our customer and have offered assistance. We are reviewing this matter,” said a United spokesperson.
United’s record with carrying animals appears to be pretty poor. BBC UK has highlighted that of the 35 animal deaths reported by US Department of Transportation in 2015, 14 were on United flights.
BBC UK explained that this meant there were 2.37 incidents for every 10,000 animals transported; the highest rate of any US airline.
Simon, the dead rabbit on United Airlines flight was discovered at Chicago O'Hare airport, and reported on Fox News. Just saying.
