When Will "Killing Eve" Return for Season 3 in Australia?

The chase continues.

Update (28/03/20): Well! It looks like the third season of Killing Eve will arrive two weeks earlier than planned. It drops on 12 April in the US and will likely follow soon (if not immediately) after on the ABC and ABC iView in Australia. Check out the new trailer below.

The original article follows below.

Considering Season 2 of Killing Eve ended on such a massive cliffhanger, there was never really any doubt that the show would be returning for a third season. In fact, it's already been renewed for a fourth season by BBC America. But when would we be reunited with MI6 agent Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) and psychopathic assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer)?

Well, mark your calendars for 26 April 12 April, because that's when the cat-and-mouse game will continue in the US. (As for when it comes to Australia, that's a little more complicated. Scroll down for more!)

*Season 2 spoilers below.*

Although, it's actually likely that S3 won't follow the same cat-and-mouse formula the series has implemented for the past two seasons. Given that Villanelle shot Eve in the back and left her to die in the Season 2 finale, it would appear that Villanelle really wants nothing to do with the security operative.

Of course, the S2 finale raised one big question: Is Eve actually dead?

In news that should shock absolutely no one, Sandra Oh has already confimed that she'll be returning for the third season.

"So, obviously, I didn't die," Oh said in an interview with Porter.

"[The next season] is basically about coming back after that, emotionally."

Oh also revealed that they're shooting another storyline somewhere else that she's not involved in.

All of the main cast members including Eve's sidekick Kenny (Sean Delaney) and M16 agent Carolyn Martens (Fiona Shaw) are set to return for Season 3, but there's a new head writer this time around.

Suzanne Heathcote will replace Emerald Fennell as showrunner, who had previously taken over from Pheobe Waller-Bridge.

While no full-length trailer has been released yet, a short teaser was posted to Twitter for Valentine's Day.

Additionally, we also got some behind the scenes photographs of the cast, with one showing Eve working as a butcher. There's also Villanelle dressed up as a terrifying clown, so that's enough to give you nightmares for a week.

Killing Eve Season 3 will premiere on BBC America on 26 April 12 April, Aussies have been able to watch the past two seasons on ABC iView, and we've reached out to ABC to confirm what date it'll land in Australia.

Season 2 episodes arrived on the streaming service on the same day as the US, so it's probable that we'll be getting fast-tracked episodes again. However, we'll keep you updated.

If you're in the UK, you'll have to wait until the entire season has aired in the US before it comes to BBC iPlayer.

Until then, enjoy discovering Jodie Comer's actual accent.
