Finally, the Full "Solo: A Star Wars Story" Trailer Is Here (But There’s Not a Whole Lot of Han)

We've been a bit worried about Solo: A Star Wars Story.
First, the original directors—Phil Lord and Chris Miller—were dumped with most of the shoot already completed. Then, it was revealed an acting coach had been brought on board to assist young Han Solo actor, Alden Ehrenreich. And then, we all collectively realised there wasn’t a trailer for the dang thing, even though it was due in cinemas (checks watch) in just three months.
Well, the now-Ron-Howard-directed flick finally got its big unveiling at the Super Bowl yesterday, with a teaser trailer that was mostly notable for highlighting Donald Glover’s Lando Calrissian facial hair and fur coat.

Today comes a slightly longer teaser, which at least features a few lines of dialogue from Ehrenreich. Still, he’s second fiddle compared to the additional glimpses we get of Glover, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson and everyone’s favourite Wookie, Yung Chewbacca.
There are also aliens, a robot (Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is that you?), a space octopus and a pristine Millennium Falcon, not yet tarnished by age.
I wouldn’t say millions of anxious, complaining voices were suddenly silenced by the clip, but it has its moments. Most importantly, the trailer proves one thing: That there will at least be something releasable by May. It didn’t seem likely even a few months ago. I guess no one told them the odds.

Solo: A Star Wars Story arrives in Australian cinemas 24 May.
