Aw: Fergie Says Her National Anthem Didn't "Strike the Intended Tone", But "I Tried My Best"

Fergalicious, definition: “I'm a risk taker artistically."

Yesterday, at the NBA All-Star game, Fergie delivered a rousing, baffling rendition of the U.S. National Anthem (or, presumably how she thinks the “Star-Spangled Banner” will sound in the year 3008).

But after becoming the butt of Twitter’s many, many, many, many jokes—not to mention the recipient of actual laughter in the arena where she was performing—she has decided to release a statement admitting, in fact, it is she who was so two-thousand and late.

"I've always been honored and proud to perform the National Anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA,” she said.

“I'm a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn't strike the intended tone.”

In her final, heartbreaking line, she admitted, “I love this country and honestly tried my best”.

Yeah, you probably aren’t laughing so hard now, are you Draymond?

Okay, it’s still pretty funny.
