Every Season of "Glee" Is Coming to Netflix This June

You didn't stop believing, and this is your reward.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Glee’s debut, and to celebrate, all six seasons of the groundbreaking show are coming to Netflix this June.

On 30 June 2019, Seasons 1 – 6 of Glee will be available to stream on Netflix in Australia. (It’s not currently available on any other streaming service, though episodes are available to purchase on iTunes and the like.)

If you didn’t watch Glee the first time around, it concerns a group of misfits who form a glee club at their high school, and compete in singing competitions, alternating between 'sectionals', 'regionals' and 'nationals' in a near-endless loop.

It was a sarcastic show that sincerely loved the art of singing and performance; it was sometimes very silly, and often too serious, but when it got the formula right, there was rarely anything better on TV.

The show was an Emmy-scooping ratings behemoth that dominated the cultural conversation for its first few seasons. Throughout 2010, its cast even managed to get 104 songs on America's Billboard chart.

They also popularised mash-ups and Matthew Morrison rapping. This may be its complicated legacy.

Sadly, the show later became tinged with tragedy when its male star, Cory Monteith, died towards the end of the run. And the less said about the actor behind bad boy Puck, Mark Salling, the better.

Nonetheless, the show had some stratospheric highs, thanks to the performances of Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, Lea Michele, Heather Morris and, best of all, Darren Criss.

Relive one of the show's best moments below, and save the Netflix Australia drop date: 30 June.
