Eurovision is Recruiting Via Tiktok and the Submissions Are Epic

Singing in the shower today, the world stage tomorrow.

Eurovision dropped the bomb last year they were scouting an 11th artist to battle it out for the top spot on the main stage at the international singing tournament.

Here’s the kicker—the wildcard contestant is gonna be plucked from TikTok.

Already on the bill to compete at Australia Decides 2022 (the decider step before Eurovision in Italy in May) is pop princess Charley, genderqueer performer Seann Miley Moore, girl group G-Nat!on, triple j darling Jaguar Jonze and X Factor Australia 2016 winner Isaiah Firebrace, to name a few.

The entry requirements are simple—post a live vocal performance clip to TikTok, up to one minute long, with the hashtag #EurovisionAustralia.

The hashtag has already hit more than28 million views already from hopeful, talented Aussies. Here are some of the best:

Ugh, BRB while I draft a strongly worded text to my parents about how mad I am at them for not pushing me to do singing lessons as a kid.

If this isn't you (ahem, you have actual talent) and you reckon you could give Eurovision a crack, the TikTok wildcard comp closes on Sunday 16 January.
