Shaggy-haired puppy-man Ed Sheeran has told fans he’s “taking a break” from his “phone, emails and all social media for a while.” The message arrived, fittingly, on Instagram.Sheeran’s decision to spurn social is one of the hottest trends sweeping the Internet right now. His adoring fan base can take some solace in the fact his third album is “on its way” and, in Sheeran’s words, “the best thing I have made thus far.” Still, we can imagine most of the comments under his ‘leaving Instagram’ post sound a little like this:

That's great. If he wants to do that, he should, and not let the media tell him what to do :)
I think its great that he is hopping off social media for a bit. He's seeking some re-invigoration and taking some time to see the sights of the world and get some inspiration for new material while getting a rest from touring and having some time to himself as he deserves.
Good for him. :) He is following his heart not his fans.
