Dwayne Johnson Speaks About Depression For Oprah's New Webseries

Dwayne Johnson has spoken of his bout with depression in a new video for Oprah’s TV network.

It’s one of a series of videos featuring the once and former Rock, released as part of OWN’s new series, Oprah’s Master Class.

In this particular excerpt, the People’s Champ talks about the emotional turmoil that came when he was cut from the Canadian Football League at age 23.

“Often times, it happens and you feel like you’re alone and you feel like it’s only you,” he said.

“You’re in your bubble and I wish I had someone, at that time, who could just pull me aside and, ‘Hey, it’s gonna be okay.’”

Though faux-inspirational videos from celebrities usually inspire an eye-roll, this one is candid enough to feel natural and actually effective.

Also, Dwayne Johnson just seems like a real sweetheart, so that helps.

Last year, Johnson spoke to the Hollywood Reporter about his three separate experiences with depression.
