Dua Lipa’s "Don’t Start Now" Is the Social Isolation Anthem We Need Right Now

If you don’t want to see me… well, you’re in luck, because I’m not going anywhere.
Dua Lipa, author of the original "New Rules", has unexpectedly written the constitution for our new reality of social isolation. And she did it in that pre-coronavirus utopia of November 2019. Have a listen:
As user @JLOCANTSING (we do not endorse this handle btw) pointed out on Twitter, Dua Lipa’s hit "Don’t Start Now" pre-emptively presented us with most of the instructions we need to stay indoors during this strange time. (Ironically, the instructions of her latest single, "Physical", should not be followed right now.)
And as Ms. Two Lips reiterated on Instagram, "I don’t make the rules." We just all have to live by them.
We would add, however, that in this age of increased social distancing (when you really should be avoiding the kind of crowded neon clubs from Dua Lipa’s video), you shouldn’t actually stop caring about others. In fact, maybe check in on them and let them know, someday soon, you’ll be able to hang out in person again. How’s that for a bit of future nostalgia?
"Don’t Start Now" is still floating around the top of the Australian, US and UK charts, and expect it to stay there while we all learn to choreograph corresponding dances at home to keep from going stir crazy.
In the meantime, look at (but don't touch) her latest clip, in case you need guidance on how to exercise at home.
