Don’t Panic, But: A Man Has Died While Watching “The Conjuring 2”

Sad, terrifying news out of India today.

A 65-year-old man in Tiruvannamalai Town has died while watching The Conjuring 2, Times of India reports.

His death was confirmed by police, who said the man had complained of chest pain and ultimately fainted during the movie’s climax on Thursday evening.

He was declared dead at the Old Government Hospital soon after.

In a weird twist to an already tragic story, the corpse has, erm, disappeared.

It’s believed the deceased’s body went missing while being transported to the outskirts of Tiruvannamalai Town for a postmortem. Rather than being moved by hospital staff, the man’s movie companion had been asked to give the body a lift. Now, both are MIA.

We’re not quite sure how to even end a story like this, except to say, umm, The Conjuring 2 is getting a spin-off based on the very demon nun-monster from the film’s murderous climax.
