Back In The Habit: That Demon Nun From “The Conjuring 2” Is Getting Her Own Movie

The breakout star of 2016, that ghastly nun-monster from The Conjuring 2, is getting her own spin-off.

The working title for this ingénue’s feature film is The Nun, Vulture reports. Make sense.

News of The Nun follows The Conjuring 2 opening to more than $US90 million worldwide last weekend. The first Conjuring movie scared up (which is the official box office parlance for horror movies) $US318 million worldwide in 2013, while its spin-off, Annabelle, managed $US256m. Makes cents.

Aussie director James Wan will return to produce The Nun. Meanwhile, Annabelle 2 sits in her glass case waiting for its own May 2017 opening.

Fun fact: The Nun, played by Bonnie Aarons, wasn’t even in the original shooting script for The Conjuring 2, and was only added during reshoots… three months before the movie opened.

What a Cinderella story.
