Do You Want to Write Australia's Next Eurovision Contest Song? Well, You Can

Do You Want to Write Australia's Next Eurovision Contest Song? Well, You Can

Australia will decide their own Eurovision contestant.

Can your songwriting skills help Jessica Mauboy bust some killer moves? Ever felt like you've got the song to help Guy Sebastian command the stage? Think your bangers will sound best with Dami Im at the helm?

If you said yes to all of the above, then it's official, you're a unicorn. But it also means  you might be a hot contender to write the song that will be performed by an Australian in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.

SBS is mixing it up this year and letting Australia decide which performer will be taking the stage with a national TV contest next February. However, the twist is: the songs they'll be singing could be written by you.

They're looking for original songs between two and three minutes in length that haven't been published before. If you're the lucky winner, your song will get paired up with an Australian icon in the February contest.

If you're ready to demolish the competition with your lyrics, head to SBS for more details before submissions close on 4 November 2018.
