Death Cab For Cutie Releases Anti-Trump Song "Million Dollar Loan"

You probably didn’t need to be told that the artistic community is largely against presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Nonetheless, a bunch of your favourite musicians will be releasing songs every day, for the next 30 days, eviscerating the Republican standard-bearer.
The initiative, started by writer Dave Eggers, has been handily titled “30 Days, 30 Songs”.
Death Cab for Cutie is the first cab (get it?) off the rank with their tune “Million Dollar Loan”, which lead singer Ben Gibbard explains, “deals with a particularly tone deaf moment in Donald Trump’s ascent to the Republican nomination.”
“While campaigning in New Hampshire last year, he attempted to cast himself as a self-made man by claiming he built his fortune with just a ‘small loan of a million dollars’ from his father. Not only has this statement been proven to be wildly untrue, he was so flippant about it. It truly disgusted me.”
Have a listen to the song below.
Between now and Election Day (November 8), you can look forward to anti-Trump songs from Aimee Mann, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, R.E.M. and more. (Dear The White Stripes: If there was ever a time to reform, that time is now.)
Enjoy this potentially last vestige of independent artistry, just in case a Trump presidency occurs - though the polls aren’t looking good.
Death Cab may live to sing again.
