The Biggest ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ Questions We Want Answered

We discuss variants, the multiverse, and rumoured pop star cameo 🤔

One of the most highly-anticipated movies of the year - Deadpool and Wolverine - is less than two weeks away, and trust us when we say we are 👏 COUNTING 👏DOWN 👏THE 👏 DAYS 👏

If you’re like us and have been crawling through every new clip and trailer looking for *some* kind of clue or cameo for what to expect, we’ve picked just three questions we want to know the answer to.

What did Logan do?

From the latest trailer, we learn that Wolverine “let down his entire world”.

What happened to Wolverine’s universe? And what happened to all the mutants in his world?

We’ve learnt a lot from several recent MCU films and TV shows about the multiverse and variants, so it’s fair to assume *this* Wolverine is not one we’ve met before.

This opens up so many questions and possibilities for potential stories that come with introducing this new Wolverine variant into the MCU.

For a MCU refresher on the multiverse and variants, we recommend checking out on Disney+ Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Loki.

Where will Deadpool travel to?

From the trailers, we know that Deadpool is working with the Time Variance Authority (TVA), who were introduced in the Loki TV series.

The question we have is – how big is Deadpool’s adventure through the multiverse gonna be?

Will we revisit the X-Men films of the 2000s, or see a universe associated with the animated series? Will we visit a Spider-Man universe? What about the universe Monica Rambeau ended up in at the end of The Marvels?

Maybe a trip into “the real world” for that extra bit of fourth-wall breaking?

We also see a shot in a trailer of Deadpool and Wolverine jumping into a portal too – the kind of portal we’ve seen Doctor Strange and Ned create with a sling ring…

So. Many. Questions.

Is Taylor Swift making a cameo?

If you haven’t heard this rumour yet, hear us out - this will make sense.

There has been speculation for a while that Taylor may make an appearance as a X-Men comic book fave, Dazzler, who balances her heroic duties with a career as a pop star.

Who better to play this mutant than one of the biggest stars in the world?

The fact that Taylor and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) are besties, and were seen in a group selfie at an American football game with Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) in October… You can see why the rumours have gone wild.

In a recent interview with Fandango, Ryan and director Shawn Levy were asked about this rumour, they said they’d rather avoid the question than be lying.

“Surprises are the essence of Deadpool,” says Ryan.

Also, remember one of the promotional pics for Deadpool and Wolverine with friendship bracelets?

We don’t want to get our hopes up, but the signs are promising.

There are obv so many more questions we have about the film than just these three, but we want to know what YOU are hoping to see!
