Chris Hemsworth Casually Dropped Into a KFC Drive-Thru to Surprise Staff

He ordered a whopping $70 worth of chicken.

Picture this: you’re starting another shift at your casual customer service job after class and you're prepping for a busy rush. I bet the last thing you think you’re gonna see is a Hollywood celebrity, right?

Well, that’s exactly what happened to the staff at a KFC in NSW when Chris Hemsworth casually pulled up in the drive-thru and ordered a heap of chicken.

Yep, the Thor star rocked up to the restaurant and ordered 15 original chicken pieces, a regular size Zinger combo and four regular popcorn chicken meals, then snapped a socially distanced pic with staff and went on home.

His order came to a whopping $72.25, but I guess if you’re trying to bulk up those gains, $70 worth of chicken might do the trick.

Sure, a rando celebrity ordering some fast food isn’t usually exciting news, but it is nice to see them out and about sometimes. Seriously, how often have you seen an A-lister at your local Macca’s?

This isn’t the first time the former Home and Away actor has dropped in to visit the staff making his dins. In fact, back in February, Chris walked into a Chargrill Charlie’s in Sydney's Woollahra with his personal trainer Luke Zocchi.

The pair picked up a similarly hefty order of a Chicken Roll, a Whole BBQ Chicken, medium chips and one large Rocket Man salad, as well as snapping some pics with the team there too.

Chargrill's Charlie's co-owner Ryan Sher stated how exciting it was for the team to meet Chris.

“It was a pleasure welcoming Chris and Luke into our Woollahra store,” he said.

“They were totally fuss-free, super friendly and great with our staff, taking photos with the team. It certainly made our day.”

So, if you needed a more motivational incentive to rock up to your shift tonight, I’m sure the thought of potentially meeting a movie star is a pretty decent one. You never know.
