China Roasts Donald Trump’s Obsession With Twitter

Chinese state-run news agency Xinhua has released a scathing commentary piece about Donald Trump’s “obsession with Twitter diplomacy”.
According to Mashable, the author labeled US president Donald Trump “the American presidential candidate who served as a television presenter”. It also acknowledged Trump’s love for social media, saying Tweeting has become a habit and a “tool for foreign policy”.
The commentary piece was published 14 hours after Trump fired off his latest tweets about China. According to Trump, China isn’t doing enough to combat North Korea’s nuclear ambitions.
Later that day, the Chinese foreign ministry responded to Trump’s comments saying: “The efforts we have made towards resolving the Korean nuclear issue are clear for all to see, and our contributions are also widely acknowledged by the international community.”
Trump had ruffled some feathers just last month, when he tweeted a series of posts aggressively attacking China’s monetary policy and its territorial dilemma in the South China Sea.
The tweets came after China was upset with Trump taking a call from Taiwan’s president upon his presidential win.
Sean Spicer, Trump’s incoming press secretary, said even his own staff aren’t informed of when the president-elect’s tweets are published.
So yeah, in light of everything, it doesn’t look as though Trump’s going to slow down with the tweets any time soon.
