Bunnings Sangas Have Gone Up in Price for the First Time in 15 Years (Thanks, Inflation)

Lowest Prices Are Just the Beginn—
No one can resist the wafting scent of sausage and onion in a Bunnings carpark, especially when it’s so darned cheap.

But you’ll have to bring an extra coin along next time you’re at the ol’ warehouse, because the iconic sausage in a bun has increased in price to $3.50.
Bunnings sangas have sat steadily at the price of $2.50 since 2007—this is the first change in 15 years.

If this is the most scandalous news you’ve heard all day, just remember that the money all goes to local community groups and charities. That extra coin will be in safe hands.
Bunnings has reportedly helped raise more than $140 million for community groups and charities across the country in just the last five years. And this price increase won’t go unnoticed by those who reap the benefits.
“The sausage sizzle will always be a community-led initiative and we have listened and responded in a way we hope allows groups to maximise fundraising efforts, whilst still giving customers a simple way to support their local community, Bunnings Group managing director Mike Schneider said in a statement.
And don’t stress—whether you opt for onions and sauce or not, no extra charge will be incurred. I know I’ll be piling on the mustard.

Cold drinks on offer will also keep their price of $1.50. You know what they say—Lowest Prices Are Just the Beginning!
I’ll leave you with our almighty national anthem as you ponder your next sausage sizzle visit.
