Binge and Grill'd Have Joined Forces to Create a Zombie Brain Burger

Burgerrrrrs, brainsssss.

This year has served up plenty of curveballs for all of us already, but no one expected this to land on our plate: the BINGE Brain Burger.

Yep, you read that right.

One of the best burger places around the country, Grill’d, has teamed up with streaming service BINGE to celebrate the return of The Walking Dead Season 10 with a Frankenstein-like food creation.

So, let’s get down to the ingredients. (Fair warning: if you have a sensitive stomach, you might want to skip this next part.)

The BINGE Brain Burger contains a panko crumbed and deep-fried lamb brain (yum?), oak leaf lettuce, tomato, rhubarb, beetroot ketchup, and a squeeze of specially made ‘brainnaise’, all sitting between a charcoal bun

Ahh yes, just like mumma used to make.

To be honest, we can’t comment on what a lamb’s brain tastes like, given we’ve never actually eaten one.

However, Grill’d founder and managing director Simon Crowe looked to ease any fears regarding the burger, saying, "Every Grill’d burger is 100 percent natural, with zero artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, made using the freshest ingredients.

"Lamb brains are no different. Creating the brain burger in partnership with BINGE seemed absolutely the right occasion to help celebrate the return of The Walking Dead but you’ll have to get in quick before they walk out the door.”

Okay, so maybe that didn't put your stomach at ease. Thankfully, BINGE have sweetened the deal, 'cos anyone who gets a Brain Burger will also score a one-month free trial for BINGE if they aren’t already a subscriber.

Seems like it’s the perfect excuse to grab a BINGE Brain Burger and binge the new season of The Walking Dead (see what we did there?).

The greatest part of this new menu item is that it’s completely free.

You’ll have to be quick though as the release of the BINGE Brain Burger is very limited, with only 650 of these being made available across five stores around Australia this weekend on Saturday, 6 March and Sunday, 7 March.

It's also important to note that this burger is only available in-store and not via a delivery food service (soz, you'll have to brave the zombies).

Here’s where you can get your hands on it:

  • Grill'd Bondi Junction - Sydney (NSW)
  • Grill'd Swan Street - Richmond (VIC)
  • Grill'd South Bank - Brisbane (QLD
  • Grill'd Rundle Street - Adelaide (SA)
  • Grill'd Victoria Park - Perth (WA)

Sorry Tassie and NT, you’ll just have to wait until next time.
