Billie Eilish's New Album "Happier Than Ever" Has a Release Date and We're Pretty Damn Happy

Circle 30 July in your calendar.

Billie Eilish announced on her Instagram today that her new album Happier Than Ever is going to drop on 30 July.

It’s not just her fans that are excited though. Happier Than Ever—Eilish's follow-up album to the Grammy-winning When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?—is a project that Eilish herself says is the best thing she has made.

“This is my favourite thing i’ve ever created and i am so excited and nervous and EAGER for you to hear it,” Eilish wrote on her Instagram.

“I’ve never felt so much love for a project than i do for this one. hope you feel what i feel.”

In the post, the singer-songwriter announced that a new track will be coming out on Thursday.

Our moody queen has remained tight-lipped about the new album she made during lockdown, but she did give fans some insight into Happier Than Ever when she appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in Februrary this year.

“I don’t think I would’ve made the same album, or even the album at all, if it weren’t for COVID,” she told Colbert.

“That doesn’t mean it’s about COVID at all, it’s just that, when things are different in life, you’re different. That’s just how it is. So, I have to thank COVID for that, and that’s about it.”

Aside from the announcement, Eilish also shared the album cover for Happier Than Ever, which features the singer dressed in white holding herself whilst tears run down her cheeks.

Oh, and in-case you didn’t realise, her black and green hair is old news. It’s all about the platinum blonde now.

So far, Eilish has released two tracks for the upcoming album. "My Future" was released in July last year along with an anime-style music video. The second track "Therefore I Am" dropped in November 2020, peaking at No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
