Bend and Snap and Sequel: Reese Witherspoon Is Super Close to Making "Legally Blonde 3"

Reese Witherspoon is apparently super close to signing on for a third Legally Blonde movie, with the screenwriters and producer of the original also reportedly interested in another sequel.

Unfortunately, Moonie the dog has not been contracted to return, as he is dead.

RIP Bruiser Woods.

Anyway... according to Deadline, the plot of the proposed third flick is under wraps, but will be "in the spirit of the first film," which means the makers are probably going to steer away from the Washington-based political sequel Red, White and Blonde.

Legally Blonde 3 would instead focus more on "female empowerment".

Of course, hardcore fans of the franchise know there’s already technically a third Legally Blonde movie. It was called Legally Blondes and it centered on the cousins of Witherspoon’s character, Elle Woods.

Let that be the last ever mention of it.

Before you get too excited, it’s important to remember Witherspoon is pretty busy these days, both as a producer and also as star of Big Little Lies, an upcoming Apple TV show with Jennifer Aniston, and her own social media accounts.

So, who knows if she'll sign the dotted line to reprise her most iconic role (that isn't Tracy Flick).
