Beloved TikTok Fizzy Drink Guy Rohit Roy Has Had His Account Hacked and Videos Deleted

Justice for Rohit.

TikTok can be a weird, terrifying and hilarious place at times, but it can also be super inspirational and wholesome.

No one proved the latter more than the king of no fizzy drink himself, Rohit Roy, who rose to TikTok stardom after documenting his journey of giving up soft drink in a bid to be healthier.

Unfortunately, after almost a year of religiously posting on the platform it seems that some nasty bugger has hacked into Rohit’s account, stolen it, and wiped all of his heart-warming videos from existence.

Earlier this week, Rohit's followers started noticing that he had suddenly stopped posting, but it wasn’t until they went to his account that they realised something wasn't right.

Not only were all his OG videos gone, but they had been replaced with random clips of Dubai.

The beloved social media star from Melbourne told Pedestrian.TV that he noticed something was up on 16 April, while he was at work, and couldn’t log back into his account.

“I tried to reset my password and I didn’t get the security code,” he told Pedestrian.TV.

“But then later in the evening when that code still didn’t come, then I started getting a bit worried.”

The most common theory for what went down—including from Rohit himself—is that his account was hacked due to his large following on the platform, and its usage is either in an attempt to sell the account or hold it from Rohit for ransom.

From the looks of things, the account has had the profile pic, mobile number and email changed. The account has lost a few thousand followers due to the confusion.

For now, Rohit is still unfortunately locked out of his own account.

Aside from Rohit obviously being devo about the situation, fans are fuming over the theft.

If you have a quick look at the account and the videos on it, all you will find is comments from angry followers demanding that they give Rohit his account back.

Honestly, same.

Right now, Rohit is working with TikTok to try and get his account back but in the meantime, he is still posting his no fizzy drink updates on his Instagram and YouTube.

(Update 11/05/2021) Rohit officially has access to his TikTok account again and has posted an update/apology video due to the break.
