Barack Obama Met With The Next Two Presidents: Donald Trump And LeBron James

President Barack Obama welcomed one of America’s most beloved heroes into the White House on Thursday; a leader and recent champion with the temperament and vision suited for the highest office in the world.

That man was LeBron James, who was joined by the rest of his Cleveland Cavaliers for a tour of Obama’s digs and a congratulatory speech in the Rose Garden, recognising their 2016 NBA Championship triumph.

Obama was even handed a long-sleeved Cavs jersey in return, though he wondered if he could rip the sleeves off, as LeBron famously did last year.

“I’ll show you exactly how you do it,” James joked with the Pres.

If only the hugely charitable and inspiring athlete had made the same offer to President-elect Donald Trump, who also visited the White House on Thursday (though not as a representative of the Cavs).

According to the ABC, Trump and Obama, long-time rivals, spent 90 minutes discussing the peaceful transition of power.

"We really discussed a lot of situations, some wonderful, some difficulties," Trump told press while sitting next to Obama.

"Mr President, it was a great honour being with you, and I look forward to being with you many more times in the future."

"I have been very encouraged by an interest in President-elect Trump's wanting to work with my team around many of the issues that the country faces," Obama added.

A White House spokesperson said the meeting was “less awkward than some might have expected.”

First Lady Michelle Obama also met with Melania Trump for a traditional tea. We wonder who had the first word.
