Baby Dolphin ‘Selfied’ To Death By Awful, Awful People

This is all very upsetting.

Argentinian beachgoers have effectively killed a baby dolphin in pursuit of a ghastly and cruel photo with the animal.

According to the ABC, a man pulled two tiny Franciscana dolphins out of the sea at a Buenos Aires beach last week and paraded them around for a photo with the swarming crowd.

The manhandling led to the death of one of the dolphins, the Argentine Wildlife Foundation confirmed.

The Australian arm of World Animal Protection condemned the act, telling the ABC, “This terribly unfortunate event is an example of the casual cruelty people can inflict when they use animals for entertainment purposes, without thinking of the animal's needs.”

"At least one of these dolphins suffered a horrific, traumatic and utterly unnecessary death, for the sake of a few photographs.”
