Azealia Banks Files Battery Report Against Russell Crowe Following Dinner Party Gone Wrong

Azealia Banks has downgraded her long-standing feud with all of Australia to simply Australia’s adopted son, Russell Crowe.

According to TMZ, Banks and Crowe had an altercation at a party being hosted by the Oscar-winning actor.

Banks was in attendance as a guest of Crowe’s good buddy, the RZA.

There are some conflicting reports, so let’s line up the stories.

On a since-deleted Facebook post, Banks alleged that Crowe called her the n-word, choked her and proceeded to spit on the rapper as he threw her out of his suite.

“The men in the room allowed it to happen,” she initially wrote. “I feel terrible today.”

TMZ says eyewitness accounts challenge Banks’ description of events; they noted that the evening started to go south when she “laughed out loud at Russell’s music selection” and called him and another guest “boring white men.”

The witnesses also claim Banks said, “You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s***.”

Banks allegedly cocked her glass back and was then supposedly bear-hugged by Crowe, who carried her out of the suite.

Nonetheless, Banks reportedly filed a battery report with Beverly Hills police yesterday, after demanding an apology from Crowe – one that is not forthcoming, according to TMZ, who have a source speaking on behalf of his reps.

It's not the first accusation of this kind against Crowe, who, you may recall, was arrested and charged with Second-Degree Assault in 2005, after he threw a phone at a hotel concierge.

On Facebook – in a post that has not yet been deleted – Banks insists she has “receipts” regarding the incident. “Stay tuned.”
