“Arrested Development” Season Five Is Coming and Is About to Be Your New Fave Crime Mystery

Arrested Development was revived for a fourth season by Netflix in 2013 after it had been dropped by Fox seven years earlier.

Five years later, another season will be released, giving the show an average of one season every three years. It's been a long ride, to say the least.

SPOILERS AHEAD! You've been warned.

Jason Bateman, who plays Michael Bluth, told EW Radio the fifth season will follow where the previous one left off: the death of Lucille Two.

In the final credits of Season Four, Buster (Tony Hale) was arrested for her murder and Gob Bluth (Will Arnett) became the president of the Bluth Company. A total topsy-turvy world.

"The central spine of that story of is the death of Liza Minnelli’s character, and a bit of whodunit, who may have done it, who had something to do with it," Bateman told EW.

Bateman also explained that the cast would be together in the upcoming season; something which wasn't possible in Season Ffour due to the actors' schedules, which resulted in a pretty confusing run of episodes.

The fifth season is due out on Netflix in early 2018.
